Thank you! There has been so much distorted press on these burgers. The article just kept getting longer and longer as I addressed each concern. Many have a grain of truth but lack appropriate context.

I really enjoyed the process as it prompted me to critically evaluate the limitations of the popular rules of thumb. I think they still have their uses but we gain a lot by recognizing their limitations (ie for apples to zebras comparisons!).

It’s hard to argue that we should rely on rules of thumb when we have concrete nutrition facts and national / international safety assessments!

I’m sure some people will accuse me of viewing these burgers through a distorted “lens of love”. Yet, when it comes to feeding my family, health comes first. You won’t catch me singing the praises of vegan doughnuts just because they are free of animal products.
